Project Status

as of January 7, 2025

  • The old Fire Station 53, along with the old water cistern has been demolished with material separated and recycled by the General Contractor.
  • The Building excavation is complete.
  • The building site was over excavated and built up to specified elevations with structural rock and fill and compacted to engineered bearing specifications.
  • The concrete contractor has completed and poured the footings, stem, walls, and some of the flat slab work.
  • The underground, below slab plumbing and electrical pathways have been installed.
  • The apparatus bay floor trench drains have been constructed with supporting footings poured.
  • The crushed rock capillary break has been installed in preparation for the remaining concrete flatwork that will comprise the apparatus bay floors.
  • Following final foundation work, the prefabricated wood framed wall panels will begin to be installed.
